Мотивация к изучению первого иностранного языка, демографические переменные и уровень владения китайским языком у взрослых обучающихся

Аннотация

В настоящем исследовании рассматриваются мотивация к изучению первого иностранного языка, демографические переменные и уровень владения китайским языком у взрослых студентов, изучающих китайский язык как первый иностранный (L2). В исследовании приняли участие 83 иностранных студента пекинского университета. Респондентам были предложены опросник L2MSS, состоящий из 54 пунктов, и демографический опросник. Анализ полученных данных позволил сделать следующие выводы: a) шкалы L2MSS в значительной степени связаны друг с другом и демонстрируют высокую степень надежности, б) идеальное L2-Я значимо коррелирует с полом и количеством изученных иностранных языков (NFLL), интегративность положительно коррелирует с NFLL, в) все респонденты, как мужчины, так и женщины, набрали высокие баллы по всем шкалам L2MSS и имели (большую) мотивацию к изучению китайского языка, г) респонденты женского пола имели значительно более благоприятное восприятие своего идеального "Я", чем респонденты мужского пола, д) опросник L2SSM не имел прогностической и интерактивной связи с демографическими переменными в области уровня владения китайским языком у респондентов. При этом для уровня владения китайским самыми мощными положительными предикторами оказались продолжительность пребывания в Китае и половая принадлежность. Очевидно, что шкалы L2MSS позволяют эффективно измерить уровень мотивации L2 и тесно связаны с изучением L2. Авторы пришли к выводу, что необходимо исследовать и понимать природу мотивации изучающих L2, а также повышать ее уровень у студентов.
