Исследование незаинтересованности студентов на занятиях по чтению на иностранном языке

Аннотация

Несмотря на то, что скука, по-видимому, является одной из наиболее часто встречающихся эмоций в условиях школы, эта негативная эмоция остается крайне недооцененной в области изучения иностранного языка. В данной статье предпринята попытка исправить эту ситуацию. Излагаются результаты исследования, целью которого было изучение изменения степени вовлеченности во время чтения на занятиях по английскому языку. В эксперименте участвовали 18 старшеклассников, изучающих английский язык в польской средней школе. Данные были собраны с помощью журнала учета успеваемости, наблюдений и планов уроков чтения. Собранные данные были проанализированы количественно и качественно. Результаты показали, что участники сообщали о разных уровнях скуки в течение одного урока чтения и во время разных уроков чтения. Факторы, ответственные за выявленные изменения уровней скуки, были связаны, среди прочего, с бездеятельностью, выполнением слишком легких/сложных заданий, решениями учителя относительно выбора и использования языковых материалов, планом занятий по чтению или индивидуальными особенностями учащихся.
