«Практически исключить все случаи использования страдательного залога»: Как руководство по стилю влияет на употребление страдательного залога в научных статьях?
Аннотация
Введение: Распространенность и влияние структур страдательного залога (СЗ) в исследовательских статьях привлекли значительное внимание, особенно в свете рекомендаций по академическому стилю. Например, некоторые журналы прямо советуют авторам избегать использования страдательных конструкций в своих рукописях, что вызывает интерес к тому, как эти рекомендации влияют на выбор авторов в различных контекстах публикаций.
Цель: целью данного исследования было сопоставление частоты использования структур страдательного залога (СЗ) в исследовательских статьях, опубликованных индонезийскими журналами (далее ЖИ), и в статьях, изданных в англоязычных странах (далее ЖА).
Метод: Данные были собраны из престижных журналов Индонезии и Соединенного Королевства, известных своим высоким уровнем в области языкового образования и прикладной лингвистики. Проанализировав соответствующую литературу и изучив происхождение журналов и авторов, мы отобрали 34 статьи (по 17 из каждой группы) из 66. В своем анализе мы сосредоточились на разделах «Введение» и «Метод», поскольку именно в этих частях, как правило, присутствует действительный залог в первом и страдательный залог во втором. Другие разделы и второстепенные элементы были исключены из нашего рассмотрения. Анализ включал экспорт PDF-файлов в текстовые форматы для подсчета слов и случаев страдательного залога. Мы применили инструмент для обнаружения страдательного залога в сочетании с ручным анализом для повышения точности. Также был выполнен t-тест для сравнения частоты использования страдательного залога между двумя журналами.
Результаты: Результаты показали три основных вывода относительно исследовательских вопросов: 1) СЗ в ЖИ встречались чаще в разделе «Метод», чем в разделе «Введение», 2) аналогично, СЗ в ЖА встречались чаще в разделе «Метод», чем в разделе «Введение», 3) ЖА включал меньшее количество предложений, чем ЖА, но частота СЗ в ЖИ была значительно выше, чем в ЖА.
Заключение: Мы пришли к заключению, что действующие рекомендации, вероятно, оказали влияние на выбор авторов в отношении применения СЗ. Кроме того, мы предложили несколько рекомендаций по корректному использованию ДЗ и СЗ в рукописи.
